How we approach software delivery

3. Honest Platform Fit

If an existing off-the-shelf product or Microsoft platform solves your challenge adequately, we will explicitly recommend it over custom code.

4. Staged Delivery

We work in transparent fortnightly sprints with demonstrable working software at each gate. You verify functionality as it is built.

5. Automated Test Safety Nets

Automated unit, integration, and regression tests provide evidence about future changes; no test suite can guarantee that every enhancement will be defect-free.

6. Documented Code Ownership

Source code, database migrations, CI/CD configurations, and documentation are transferred or licensed according to the agreed scope. Runtime dependencies, hosting, and licensing terms are made explicit.

Our engineers audit your existing databases, user access matrices, third-party software APIs, and data models. We run focused architectural spikes to test high-risk integrations before committing to a final scope.

Compare Options: Build, Buy or Configure

Architecture blueprint & commercial framework

We evaluate whether custom code is genuinely warranted versus configuring packaged software or leveraging Microsoft 365. If custom software is justified, we define the technical architecture, technology stack, and security boundaries.

Define Acceptance Criteria & Release Gates

Test harnesses, security boundaries & acceptance criteria

Before writing production code, we establish unambiguous acceptance criteria for every user story. We set up automated testing environments, security scanners, and continuous integration (CI) pipelines.

Build & Validate in Controlled Increments

Fortnightly delivery, code reviews & user acceptance testing

We execute development in fortnightly sprints. Every sprint ends with a live demonstration of working software in a staging environment. Automated unit and integration tests run on every pull request.

Deploy, Document, Hand Over & Support

Production release, documentation & source-code handover where agreed

Production cutovers are executed with automated migration scripts and rollback planning appropriate to the environment. We provide repository access, system documentation, and runbooks according to the agreed scope, and establish any ongoing enhancement arrangements separately.
